The Markus Library offers access to Pharmaprojects, a Drug Development Database that can track the global R&D pipeline. Shay Lonergan, Pharma Training Specialist, from Pharmaprojects will show us how Pharmaprojects can support and advance your research.

To advance science and improve human health, NIH makes the peer-reviewed articles it funds publicly available on PubMed Central. The NIH public access policy requires the submission of the final peer-reviewed journal manuscripts that arise from NIH funds to PubMed Central via the NIH Manuscript Submission service (NIHMS) immediately upon acceptance for publication. Our University Librarian, Matt Covey, will go over steps you need to take, and he will show you when and how to comply with this mandated policy.

Primo Search is our library system and discovery tool. Primo provides simple, one-stop searching for books and e-books, articles, videos, and more. A Systematic Review is is a research study that attempts to identify, appraise and synthesize all the empirical evidence that meets pre-specified eligibility criteria to answer a specific research question. Simply, they are literature reviews that use rigorous, systematic, and transparent methods to minimize bias in the results. Rie Goto, Assistant University Librarian at the Rockefeller University, will give you a step-by-step guide, including tools and resources that you can use to conduct a Systematic Review.

A Reference Manager helps you keep track of articles and books as you find them, tag and annotate them, and easily create citations and bibliographies in Microsoft Word. A library staff member will introduce you to some of the most popular reference management software, so that you can find the one you may want to use.
