President Barack Obama announced today that Elaine Fuchs, a Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigator at The Rockefeller University, will receive the National Medal of Science for contributions to the biological sciences. Dr. Fuchs is being honored for her work on mammalian skin and skin diseases. She will be honored at the White House with eight other scientists on October 7. Read more in the HHMI newsletter.
